What You’ll Do
The Manager, Registration & Group Air is responsible for oversight of Wynford’s Registration & Group Air solutions and services across the event lifecycle and for building a strong and cohesive Wynford Team.

The Manager, Registration & Group Air reports directly to the Vice-President, Operations. This role is a strong voice for the team, the “go-to” person for the Registration & Group Air Teams and partnering with the balance of the teams across Sales, planning/sourcing, program & event management & shared services.

The Manager, Registration & Group Air will develop solid relationships with our vendor partners in both registration and air to ensure that we are getting the best from our partners to continuously enhance our offering and provide to our clients.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

The key focus for the Manager, Registration & Group Air role is to provide day to day leadership to the Registration & Air teams, driving excellence across both internal and external client service, labour efficiency and team effectiveness, while contributing to the delivery of stated organisational objectives. Specifically this role is responsible for:

  • Day to day management for the registration and group air teams, their goals, workload and employee engagement.
  • Administrative management
  • Wynford Team development
ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT/ LEADERSHIP
Responsible to lead, guide and support the Registration & Group AIr teams and staffing responsibilities including:
  • Day to day management of Registration & Group air solutions
  • Professional development and performance reviews for all direct reports; strengthening overall team satisfaction and alignment with organizational values, mission and vision.
  • New Hires – job descriptions, goal setting, orientation training, and assigning a mentor
  • Career Tracks/Paths/ Succession Planning
  • Input on remuneration/compensation packages and year end bonuses
  • Day to day coaching, conflict resolution, issues management
  • Development and implementation of process’
  • Leadership and mentoring of Registration & group air Team Lead to achieve tasks as noted above
CLIENT SERVICE/ NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Strengthen organisational and infrastructure capacity with respect to excellence in client service across and beyond the Registration and Air Teams. Includes but is not limited to the following:
  • Participate in daily Triage for new projects, proposal and ad hoc deliverables
  • Responsible for budgeting and profitability
  • Oversee Team Leads/Trainers in the effective delivery of all projects by the Registration & Group Air Team
  • Mentor, guide and lead team members
  • Grow overall team engagement and service excellence across the team
  • Build and continually communicate best practices, continuous improvement to internal and external clients
EXPECTATIONS:
  • Leadership mindset complimented by employee engagement & service excellence focus
  • Liaise with teams on a continuum to troubleshoot and identify best practices across Registration, Air.
  • Establish strong and advantageous relationships with vendor partners to assist in the delivery of our registration and air services.
  • Proactively self-schedule to ensure administrative duties are fulfilled while supporting the team with billable work
  • Facilitate weekly team 1:1’s, review succession planning & provide ongoing coaching & mentoring with the team.
  • Independently and proactively manage team members
