The Account Director is responsible for overseeing the direction and delivery of all aspects of client projects, including production, onsite execution and reconciliation. 
  • Serves as first contact for the office, greeting clients, staff and suppliers (hotel, tourism boards, destination management companies)
  • Works directly with the client to understand and translate expectations into program
  • Provides direction to the project team to ensure that the program team meets deadlines and that deliverables are on budget and aligned with client expectations
  • Acts in an internal sales capacity, and as the voice of and a trusted advisor to the client, always keeping the big picture in mind
  • Leads meetings with the client to understand and translate expectations and takes briefs
  • Providing direction on proposal development
  • Ensures that all teams and suppliers keep the client’s overall objectives in mind 
  • Typically has a minimum of 3 years of experience in account coordination or operating and planning incentive programs, conferences or meetings of varying scope and geographical location and complexity
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Strong budget and critical path management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills (attention to detail)
  • The ability to work accurately under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Leadership orientation and focused on results and team engagement
  • Proficient computer skills in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • A post secondary degree or diploma in a related field an asset
